TechWorks 3CX Voicemail Guide

You can manage your voicemail using any Desk Phone, by dialing “999”  if your office extensions are in 3 digits or “9999” if your office extensions are in 4 digits . 

A voice menu system will greet you and ask you to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) followed by “#”.

The PIN number is a personal password and if you do not remember it please contact us for a PIN reset.

The initial options you are presented with, are the following:

  • Dial * to play your messages.
  • Dial “9” to go to options.
  • Dial pound “#” to exit.

When you dial “*” to play your messages following options will be announced:

Dial the respective option for messages:

  • Dial 0 to play next message
  • Dial 1 for previous message
  • Dial 2 to repeat message
  • Dial 3 to delete message
  • Dial 4 to call back the caller
  • Dial 5 to forward to another voicemail
  • Dial 9 to return to previous menu or options menu
  • Dial # to exit system

When you dial “9” for options, the following options will be announced:

Dial the respective numbers to change and update these features:

  • Dialing “1” allows you to change your profile status.
  • Dialing “3” allows you to dial a number.
  • Dialing “4” allows you to delete all read messages.
  • Dialing “5” allows you change your self-identification message.
  • Dialing “6” allows you to play mailbox information.
  • Dialing “7” allows you change your voicemail PIN number.
  • Dialing “8” allows you to change your greeting message.
    • Dial “0” to record new greeting
    • Dial “1” to restore to system standard greeting
    • Dial “2” to hear current active greeting
  • Dialing “9” allows you to restart the voice menu prompts.

Note: You can use the voicemail button on the primary extension only instead of dialing “999” or “9999”. The voicemail button is usually indicated by a envelope.
